Yoga for A Healthy Back
Low back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek out a yoga practice. In this workshop, Alex will begin with a very short discussion of his approach to lower back care and will lead you through a carefully constructed sequence of yoga poses and modified yoga techniques to help alleviate minor lower back pain and discomfort. He will also help you to modify a yoga practice with lower back injuries such as disk issues and facet joint irritation.
Alex specializes in back care in his private yoga practice and used yoga many years ago to find lasting relief from his own lower back issues. He has been training yoga teachers since 2009 in anatomy and physiology and proper modification for injury in yoga practice.
This is also a wonderful workshop for teachers to learn to address lower back issues with students and clients.

Join Alex Amorosi and Debra Goodman, Owner of HYP Studios, for an afternoon of learning how to use hands as powerful healing tools. You will learn how to create a sense of safe and healing touch with your hands, how to manage the physical energy exchange, where to place hands safely on the body, and how to keep your own energy field clear. We will work in very basic asana such as Child’s Pose and savasana and also work with some intuitive body reading exercises to understand how to read body reaction and sensation with the hands. Excellent workshop to do with a partner, friend, or loved one and also wonderful for teachers and teacher trainees.
