Join sought-after senior yoga teacher Alex Amorosi for an inspiring journey into the heart of what it means to be a yoga teacher in the modern world. We will explore yoga from the perspective of balance and healing, spiritual growth and development, and dive deeply into the tangible and intangible aspects of creating a powerful, safe, and inclusive yoga class space. This training will invigorate your role as a yoga teacher.
Building on your own teaching experience, you will have the opportunity to learn, practice and advance your teaching techniques supported by like-minded peers and under the guidance of a senior mentor. You will have the opportunity to delve deeply into the traditional spiritual ideas that form the foundation of modern yoga and learn how to incorporate these ideas into your classes in an accessible way. You will also learn about the elusive concept of “energetics” and how to use energetics (reading the room, intuition, seasonality, time of day etc.), in systematic ways to greatly enhance the effectiveness and healing power of your classes. This course will include significant opportunities for peer and mentor feedback so you can practice teaching techniques and expand your essential teaching skills.

Teachings from classical Indian texts and how to incorporate them accessibly into group yoga classes.
How to be yourself as a yoga teacher and cultivate your own authenticity and voice.
Systems for reading the energy of a room and how the balance the energy of any class.
Laws and rules of energetics and how to use them with classes and clients.
Advanced work with chakras, nadis, and energy centers in the body.
How to provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment in class with words, body language, and well executed assists.
The “Five Levels of Boundaries” and how to maintain them with students and clients.
How to incorporate Buddhist based concepts in classes and with private clients such as mindfulness, the Noble Eightfold Path, and The Four Noble Truths.
Advanced Pranayama techniques for classes and personal practice.
Developing a steady and daily spiritual practice to enhance your teaching and your personal wellbeing.

Alex Amorosi is a sought-after yoga and spiritual teacher who has been studying and teaching Buddhist meditation, yoga asana, yoga teaching, Usui Reiki, and various methods of energy healing for over 20 years.
